Vero - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, buying a subscription or credits, or using Vero, you agree to these Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, the Community Guidelines, and the Biometric Policy when verification features are used. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility
You may use Vero only if you:
- are at least 18 years old;
- are legally allowed to use the service;
- have not been previously banned from Vero; and
- are not required to register as a sex offender.
You must provide accurate registration and profile information.
3. Accounts
- One account per person unless Vero expressly allows otherwise.
- You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and activity on your account.
- Your profile must describe you honestly. Fake profiles, impersonation, duplicate accounts, misleading profiles, and attempts to bypass verification or moderation are prohibited.
- Phone numbers, devices, verification signals, and related account identifiers may be used to enforce safety rules and prevent ban evasion.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use Vero to:
- break the law or violate another person’s rights;
- harass, threaten, stalk, hate, dox, or repeatedly contact someone after they disengage;
- post or send nudity, sexually explicit content, sexualized content involving minors, graphic violence, or exploitative content;
- scam, spam, solicit money, run commercial promotions, or commit fraud; or
- evade bans, safety restrictions, verification, or other platform controls.
Use of Vero is also subject to the Community Guidelines.
5. Service and Feature Changes
Vero may add, remove, rename, modify, limit, reprice, suspend, or discontinue any free or paid feature at any time. This includes subscriptions, credit packs, rewards, boosts, super likes, rewinds, visibility features, profile features, matching features, chat features, filters, limits, durations, ranking signals, and promotional offers.
Current prices, durations, limits, included benefits, redemption costs, and available uses are shown in the app and may change over time. For example, Vero may change how long a boost lasts, how many credits a feature costs, what benefits are included in a subscription tier, or which features are available for a given account, region, platform, app version, or safety state.
We generally will not shorten an active paid feature that has already started unless we reasonably need to do so for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, technical reasons, service integrity, or platform rules.
6. Paid Features, Subscriptions, and Credits
Vero may offer subscriptions, credits, points, rewards, boosts, or other in-app units of value. These are limited-use digital items for use inside Vero only, unless we expressly say otherwise.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancel through the platform that billed you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Apple App Store, Google Play, RevenueCat, Stripe, or other payment providers may apply their own billing, renewal, price-change, cancellation, and refund terms.
- Credits and partially used billing periods are generally not refundable unless required by law or the applicable app store’s rules.
- Credits and other in-app units do not represent cash, stored value, a bank account, a deposit, interest, ownership in Vero, or any right to receive money.
- Credits and other in-app units are not transferable, sellable, refundable, or redeemable for money except where required by law or expressly supported in the app.
- Vero may change how credits or other in-app units are issued, stored, displayed, named, priced, redeemed, converted, expired, limited, or operated.
- Vero may change the technology, vendors, providers, or infrastructure used to operate credits, subscriptions, payments, rewards, and other in-app value features.
- Free credits, free boosts, free super likes, bonuses, trials, discounts, invite rewards, and other promotions may reset, not stack, expire, change, or end at any time.
- Fraud, abuse, chargebacks, refunds, payment disputes, or attempts to manipulate rewards may cause Vero to remove credits or benefits, limit purchases, suspend features, or restrict an account.
Buying a subscription, credits, or any paid feature does not guarantee impressions, matches, likes, replies, dates, compatibility, or any other outcome.
7. Discovery, Ranking, and Availability
Vero controls the recommendation, discovery, ranking, matching, sorting, filtering, anti-spam, and visibility systems used in the service. These systems may change over time and may consider profile information, activity, preferences, location, verification, safety signals, subscription tier, paid features, app health, and other signals.
Paid features may affect visibility or access to features, but they do not guarantee a specific number of views, matches, likes, conversations, or outcomes.
Some features may be unavailable or limited because of region, platform, app version, account status, subscription tier, payment status, safety state, moderation state, technical limits, experiments, or provider availability.
8. Privacy and Verification
Your use of Vero is subject to the Privacy Policy. Verification features are also subject to the Biometric Policy. If you choose to complete biometric verification, you must affirmatively consent before capture begins.
9. Safety Overrides, Suspension, and Termination
Vero may warn, restrict features, remove content, hide profiles, limit discovery, reverse or block activity, remove credits or promotional benefits, suspend accounts, or ban users that violate these Terms, the Community Guidelines, or platform safety rules.
Vero may also take these actions when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, chargeback handling, payment disputes, legal compliance, service integrity, technical protection, or platform rules.
You may stop using Vero and delete your account at any time. Some safety, fraud, payment, legal, dispute, support, and moderation records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy and Biometric Policy.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide additional notice when appropriate or required. Continuing to use Vero after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Disclaimers
Vero is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee matches, compatibility, uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, continued availability of any feature, or the identity or conduct of every user. Use caution when interacting with other users online or offline.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vero will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages. Vero’s total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid Vero in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
Before filing a formal claim, contact legal@vero.dating so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
To the extent permitted by law, unresolved disputes will be handled on an individual basis through binding arbitration or eligible small claims court, and not as a class, collective, or representative action.
